Long hated by short-sighted lefties, the moon missions, and the rest of the space programs, were one of the strongest bones in the body of American international prestige and power. "We could use all that money to provide jobs and feed people," has long been a cry of the rabid left faction. As usual, the short sighted piggies never considered the numerous space related discoveries and tens of thousands of job radiating from that industry. Obama is head down and locked in his effort to make the United States of America as effective on the world stage as his home country, Kenya.

Opus, I most certainly agree.
Most of the people working in the space program were educated, employed and therefore are more likely to vote Republican.
It makes perfect sense that he'd eliminate those positions as part of his Jobs program...
