Well, God bless ya. If I can somehow manage to stay on for another three years, I'm subject to an additional 14% into my retirement. I'm at 90% now, top step Sergeant. But with me, at this stage, it's all about working conditions and if they tank, then that's me, exiting Stage Right.
After that, no, just like you, you couldn't lure me back with dancing girls and triple the cash.
My retirement would have been MUCH more if I'd stuck in. BUT, I HATED it and was ready to blow. Not at the bad guys, you understand, but at the bureaucrats.

Pip, pip, Cheerio, and all that rot.
Merry Christmas, WoFat! That is quite a pithy pith helmet! Pip Pip, Cherrio.
Enjoy your Christmas & Happy New Year too!
Bunni,
May the week-end be yours.
Hey, nice Bobbie hat, yes?
Did you receive it for Christmas?
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, thanks for visiting my blog, please return.
I still work for my department though I have over 30 years on. When did you retire from NOPD?

I do like the hat.
B.Z., I've been retired for 11 years now (after 27 years on the job), and wouldn't go back for triple the money.
The hat is the sort of thing Brits wear in jungle climes.
My wife got a great price on it, as the chin strap was put on backwards. Some Chinese worked no doubt came to work drunk one day.
Every time I see this picture, I want to sing "Men of Harlech" (song of the 24th Regiment of Foot) I don't know why, I just do.
